Girl Unearthed is a short film shot on 16mm black-and-white reversal about a girl who gets lost in the woods. Trees loom and shadows lurk on the undersides of leaves. Eventually she succumbs to the forest and disappears. The film examines themes of decay, burial, and different forms of consciousness. The forest is alive, alien, and overpowering.
